About
Hi, I’m Andrew Loucas and thanks for visiting my website! I have been a practicing photographer for nearly 10 years now. Before that, I was an aspiring lead guitarist in a NYC heavy metal band while I was a full-time mechanical engineering student at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. Shortly after I obtained my bachelor’s degree, I decided to set aside my passion for making it in the music industry in order to provide a stable life and income stream for my family.
Fast forward ten years, I went on to work in corporate, progressively holding positions of increasing responsibility. I began as an Engineer-In-Training at a ball bearing company and completed my tenure as a Business Unit Manager at a German technology company. My work at the time introduced me to the world of high speed, optical camera recognition systems. As an eager employee, I immersed myself into optics and emerging camera technologies in order to best apply system solutions into many of our fortune 100 customers’ production facilities. It was this research that opened the door to my interest in photography. I find that it combines my love for technology and art by stimulating both the artistic and analytical sides of the brain - a balance I long desired.
Based out of Long Island, NY I’m available to take head shots, product or real estate photos for websites, catalogs or digital media. I utilize the latest in professional mirrorless camera technology, lighting and well versed in photo and video editing software such as Adobe Lightroom, PhotoShop and Premier. Check out my gallery if you like my style and if you do, please feel free to fill out the contact request form and I’ll get back to you at my earliest convenience or just give me a call!
Looking forward to hearing from you!
